International repatriation

Returning your loved one home, with every step handled.

Sometimes a loved one must be returned to their homeland for burial, or brought home to Singapore from abroad. This is our specialty, and we handle every part of it, so a grieving family does not have to face embassies, airlines and paperwork alone.

Throughout, your loved one is treated with the same dignity and the same rites: gently handled, and buried without unnecessary delay at the destination.

If a family member has passed away overseas, we can also guide you through reporting the death and the support available from Singapore’s authorities.

  • Death certificate, and embalming and coffin-sealing certificates
  • Export and import permits for the journey
  • The embassy letter of no objection
  • Airline and air-cargo booking, and airport handling
  • Coordination with the receiving funeral home, so a team is ready on arrival

Common questions

Answers for the first difficult moments.

Someone has just passed away at home. What should I do first?

Call us straight away. We will stay on the line, guide you calmly through the immediate steps, and arrange the collection. You do not need to have anything ready.

How soon can the burial take place?

Islamic tradition encourages a prompt burial, often within about a day, and we help you honour that wherever circumstances allow. Where the law requires more time, for example a Coroner’s case or pending documents, it may take a little longer, and we will explain why.

What documents are needed?

Generally the Certificate of Cause of Death, the death registration, an NEA burial permit, and the deceased’s identity document. We handle the burial permit and guide you through the rest.

Do you handle repatriation overseas?

Yes, this is our specialty. We arrange the certificates, permits, embassy letter, airline and cargo booking, and the coordination with the receiving funeral home. See the Repatriation section above, or simply call and we will walk you through it.

What are the costs, and are there any hidden charges?

Our package is itemised and explained before anything is agreed, with no hidden charges. Government fees, such as the NEA burial permit, are separate and paid to the authorities, and we tell you the current amount plainly. Please call us for the current package details.
